Utvandrarna is a classic Swedish Epic by Vilhelm Moberg. In this setting it was directed bt Farnaz Arbabi at Riksteatern and instead of being about people emigrating from Sweden in the 1700 1800s it was transformed to be about people immigrating to sweden in present time. The cast included actors of many nationalities and the video component took off from the need to visually translate some of the lines spoken in foreign language. The set design was made by Jenny Kronberg and ended up consisting of simple tarpaulin walls on which different images were projected. The video system Watch Out was used to coordinate the material and tecnician Tobias Stahl conducted the ca 300 different cues. Video projections designed and directed by David Giese. The play toured throughout Sweden in 2006 and 2007 and became a big success.
